Hello!I'm Mark Peiffer.Photography has been a passion of mine since high school, a time when I first picked up a camera and discovered the joy of capturing moments. As life unfolded, with marriage and children, the demands of family life made it difficult to pursue this hobby. However, the advent of affordable digital photography reignited my interest, allowing me to explore my creative side without the financial burden of traditional film photography. This resurgence came a decade prior to my retirement, and now that I am retired, it is a phase of life filled with newfound freedom and inspiration. Reflecting on my journey, I recall a moment during my senior year when I was asked about my future aspirations. I boldly declared that I envisioned myself selling my artistic masterpieces for a million dollars each. While I may not have achieved that specific dream, the essence of my artistic pursuit has remained alive. The experiences I've gathered over the years have enriched my photography and provided a wealth of inspiration that I now channel into my work. As I share my photography journey through this website and my blog, I invite you to join me in celebrating the art of capturing life’s fleeting moments. It’s a reminder that it’s never too late to embrace your passions and chase your dreams, regardless of where you are in life. I hope my story resonates with you and encourages you to explore your own creative endeavors. Please feel free to leave comments on my blog; I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences.
My Wife
My wife has a remarkable talent for capturing stunning travel photos with her cell phone. Her keen eye for detail and composition consistently amazes me. I often seek her input on my own photography projects, particularly when it comes to my Abstract Composite creations, as her perspective adds immense value. I truly appreciate her not just as a partner in photography but as a wonderful wife, a supportive friend, and an adventurous travel companion. Together, we create lasting memories through our shared passion for exploring the world and documenting our experiences.

Copenhagen, Denmark Canal
My first camera featured a viewfinder that required me to look down through it to frame my shots, which led to some amusing misunderstandings among my friends. As they observed me seemingly fiddling with settings, they were unaware that I was actually capturing candid moments rather than staging formal pictures. This resulted in a delightful collection of spontaneous, unposed photos that continue to bring a smile to my face whenever I revisit them.
